FLYING REPORTS
Approximately 10 people raised their hands when asked who had flown that day,
all local flights

back. Return trip only took two hours.

light turn out in the Ultrlight area.

an article found in the AOPA magazine. (or was it on the web site?)
GOOD OF THE CLUB
Brad Wolf reported that when planning a flight to Valparaiso he called for a
brief and found two airports near his destination had closed run ways, always a
good idea to get a brief.
Bob Riddle reported having some strange indications at takeoff and climb. It
appeared he was getting higher airspeeds at lower engine RPMs. The culprit was a
dirty Halls Airspeed indicator
Upcoming events were discussed. See the Website for a complete list of events
Welding Tip – be careful what you clean the metal with before welding. Some
solvents like break cleaner will leave a residue that will give off toxic fumes
when heated (Phosgene Gas)
Brad Wolf mentioned that the city of LA contacted him for the taxes on his
GT400. a plane he sold that never was in CA.
Andrew reserved his N-number and IL contacted him to buy the state sticker even
though the airplane is not completed
Tom Grimm demonstrated his new LED combo position/strobe lights. A lot of light
for very little power. Tom is working on landing lights (see classifieds on the
website)
Adjourned at 8:22pm Thanks Joe S. and his helpers for fabulous Hot Dogs
