Minutes of November 3, 2011 meeting
Meeting was held 11/3/2011 at Charlie’s
restaurant, Clow airport
Meeting called to order By Roger Kellogg at 7:07pm
Roger welcomed members and guests, reviewed the club Mission statement and the
meeting agenda.
BUSINESS
The secretary read the minutes from the October meeting
The treasurer reported a balance of $1,755.73 with 41 paid members and noted
that $500 deposit had been made for the Christmas party
CHRISTMAS PARTY
Details of the annual Christmas party were discussed including time, location
(Bolingbrook Golf Club on 12/10) menu and cost.
A motion passed for the price to be $25 for members and $35 for no-members with
the club paying any remaining balance
ELECTION OF NEW OFFICERS
It is time to elect new club officers. As of the end of the meeting we had no
nominees.
We need someone to step up.

CLOW REPORT
Nothing Reported
CUSHING REPORT
One of the Evectors was extensively damaged by a hard landing by a student pilot
at Whiteside Airport. No injuries reported.
EMERGING BUSINESS
A motion passed to move the FVFC meeting to the second Thursday of each month in
order to allow for more interaction/cooperation with the EAA chapter 461 at Clow.
Chapter 461 hold their meetings on the first Thursday of the month.
PROJECTS
Tom H. Kitfox; completed, the plane flys well but Tom still needs his tail wheel
endorsement
Roger K. RV7; Roger was working the intake plenum, required some cutting and
patching to make it fit correctly.
Andrew K. No progress, has been flying spray planes in Minn.
FLYING REPORTS
Phil B gave a nice report complete with pictures on a trip to Gutenberg Island
OH. The island is in the Mississippi river and has a 2,500 ft. runway
Don got a call from a friend needing help finding his horse (the friend had
fallen off the horse) The problem was the horse was lost just south of DuPage
Airport.
Don called the airport and got clearance to fly his Quicksilver low and slow
south of the airport but was advised to watch for traffic. The horse was found
Christine and Barry flew to Spirit of St. Louis airport in the Archer
Roger flew to New York. Ran in to a cousin and took her husband for a ride.
Roger flew one of the trike guy home to Michigan. Roger got a ride in a trike,
noted it was fun but flying trikes is a lot of work.
GOOD OF THE CLUB
Phil Duff reported that Rotax has stopped production of the 447 and 503 engines.
The engines that are in stock will be sold off and the engines will be supported
with parts for 10 years
Meeting turnout was low, the club paid $69 to make the minimum
Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm
