Continuing Business – attracting new members

Roger showed an old FVFC brochure that gave some information and background of the club

Christine Ward is going to contact old members to see why they are no longer active in the club.

PROJECTS

Steve V. Kitfox – Making progress, working the doors and fuselage. Should be covered this summer

Andrew K. Cassult – No progress. Currently working in Minnesota. Working on Moonys by day and helping with a Thrush turbo conversion and restoration by night.

Roger K. RV 7 – working on the engine installation. Has all the exhaust tubes but need to weld them together. Roger noted he needed a tube bender with a tighter radius then what he has. Several members offered their tube benders.

NEWS< VIEWS and GENERAL DISCUSION

Roger lead a conversation about flying to the Bahamas, looks like fun but the shortest rout still has a 60 mile ocean crossing.

It was noted that more homebuilts were registered last year than factory built singles.

Joe S; made it to the Springfield Safety seminar. The new MC is Jeff Gorn. There were a lot of vendors on hand but total attendance was down. The seminar was OK

It was noted that there has been a claim of finding Amelia Earhart wreckage but the location seams wrong. Close to New Guinea not Holland island

Teen Flight Oregon. A group is building a RV12 with teenagers. Getting kids involved in aviation.

Meeting adjourned at 8:12pm
