A Voice from Indiana

A quick blurb from Bill Mills

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, FVFC Club President Emeritus Bill Mills flew his well-over-TBO 2-si-powered Kitfox Lite off into the sunset (no; that's not right:  sunset is in the opposite direction), moving from Naperville to somewhere near Indianapolis.  His excuse was that he needed to spend more time at some Irish pub.  Those of us who knew him well were not surprised.

Well, after an extended silence, Bill dropped us a line.  Here is his report:

Hello to you all... This is Bill Mills

Just want to let you all know that earlier this week I completed all the steps needed to become a Sport Pilot.  I have a temporary license.  I got on the stick earlier this month. Started studying and then passed my written (98%) and then got about 5 hours dual in a Evektor SportStar ESLA. Then flew from Indy to Seymour, IN and met with a Flight Examiner... had an 1 1/2 hr oral and 1 hr practical flight test... on Tuesday.

ALL DONE!!! YEA! I hope some of you have taken advantage of the Golden Letter we got from EAA and passed too.

Bill
