APRIL, 2008 Newsletter

Thoughts from the Editor

Yea, yea; it's been a long time since I've gotten one of these issues out, but you get what you pay for, right?  I mean, my salary as Newsletter Editor hasn't exactly kept up with inflation, so I guess you could say that I am engaging in a work slow-down.   :-)   But the season is upon us, even if the temps have been all across the board as of late (75 one day; in the 30's and rainy another; welcome to Spring in the Midwest. . . ) and several of us have taken some nice flights over the past month or so.

But even though nice flights have been taken (Barry and Bruce flew to dinner at Griffith; I think that Mick and Bob have taken trips other than the one written-up in this issue), nobody has shared the details with me in any way other than via the occasional phone call or breakfast conversation.  How about it, guys and gals?  If you take a flight, consider sending me an email about it, maybe with some pictures.  If I don't take the trip myself (and even then, if I don't feel like writing about it), and no one sends me any stories, there won't be anything to share.  So, if you enjoy reading Newsletters, send to me (via email to gilomen@ais.net) any and all stories about flying that you have done, flying that you wanted to do and flying that made you wish you had stayed on the ground, as well as any amusing anecdotes, grumpy gripes, scary stories and wanted/for sale/for trade ads.  Let's get to it, people!
